" It does not address when or how defensive force should be wielded."

Gotta call bullshit.

At least as far as I learned.

It addresses something along the lines of "except in retaliation."

Defensive force is often instinctual or reflexive. Fight or flight.

"At least as far as I learned." Right, might be a problem. Maybe I shouldn't have used "it" there, but the whole point was that it doesn't matter. I had hoped this other sentence maybe took care of that---"These are all important questions for an individual because they will determine whether a likewise use of force is defensive or not." Kinda brings in defense, eh?

But RETALIATION?? Really? Yeah you must've learned some crazy stuff. Most English speakers distinguish pure retaliation (qua retaliation) from defense and retaliation makes no sense at all on its own. Nobody believes it anyway unless you spend your evenings breaking into politicians' houses in retaliation for their theft. Defense makes sense and is necessary but why would you engage an action simply because another person did it, let alone the very worst among us? I'll listen but I doubt you have any sensible answer for that.

Glad you could emotionally catharsize anyway, hope it helped. If you do bother to read any other sentences, please don't miss the last one.
