Thought
You think, therefore you value, disvalue, reason, and feel emotion. You value (accept) or disvalue (resist) a particular instance of shame.1 You experience fear and hope in anticipation of some outcome.2 All of this is included in thought, and thought occurs in no other way than a personal way. Because of this, only you can decide for you.3
When considering others, you choose whether to value the concept of groups (conformity), whether to value the concept of a master (servile), or whether to value the concept of self (privacy).4
Act
You can act independent or you can enslave, can resist or be enslaved.56 That is, you can act privately or you can act collectively. To act independently is to earn, owe, and loan. To act collectively is to take, serve, and impose.7
To earn is to use one’s own resources and labor. To owe is to have gained value from another with the expectation that you will give them value in return. To loan is to give value to another with the expectation that they will give value to you in return.
To take is to choose entitlement or theft. To serve is to conform to groups or to be servile to masters. To impose is to impose one’s or another’s will.8 The act of imposing (“law”) can produces a net cost that is always greater than its benefits.9
The private Individual values Autonomy and adopts the acts of earning and the social acts of owing and loaning. This constitutes production, which is not zero sum but win-win. There are many tools to maintain (or take back) privacy and defense. No tool was ever perfect,10 which has yet to stop all of past human action.
The conforming Individual values Uniformity and adopts the acts of entitlement and imposing the Group’s will. Conformity cannot be known to occur in private. Uniformity is zero sum as it is the result of taking rather than earning.
The servile Individual values Hierarchy and adopts the acts of theft and imposing the Master’s will. Servility cannot be known to occur in private. Hierarchy is zero sum as it is the result of taking rather than earning.
Outcome
You value or disvalue outcomes, and attempt to make the valued outcome occur and the disvalued outcome not occur.
Thought → Act → Outcome
Taking and imposing leads to enslavement and parasitism. Taking and imposing can be the more specific outcomes of Uniformity1112 or Hierarchy1314, where one is the imposing of uniform outcome and the other is the imposing of disparate outcome. Each require rule by fear and hope15 as well as uncertainty.16
The very opposite of all that is the outcome of Autonomy, which is diversity plus reciprocity17. As an outcome, diversity is the fact that all are individuals with their own self-interests, which is disparate outcome or non-imposed hierarchy. As an act, reciprocity is minimum respect for individuals. Reciprocity (individual choice) enables empathy and optimizes prosperity.18
The outcome of Autonomy further becomes unity or disassociation. Unity is agreement or exchange. Disassociation is a failure to agree or exchange. It may require defense or security, but it is rebellion if the other party lacks the minimum respect required to allow the other to disassociate. Defense and Security is Autonomy kept. Rebellion is Autonomy taken.19
Enslavement or parasitism is not Order.20 The thug has long claimed otherwise, and has long been incorrect.
Uniformity is not Unity.21 The conformist has long claimed otherwise and will continue to be incorrect.
Imposed Hierarchy cannot produce Security.22 The servile has long claimed otherwise and will continue to be incorrect.
Again, you decide, but once enslaved, the cost of regained Autonomy only increases.23
